I know the area well, the local landscape was the subject of many dawn and dusk shoots for me over the years when I lived in Dorset. Somehow we made it down to the beach at Church Ope Cove, just in time for the twilight colours. The beach faces south east and is somewhere I’ve shot many times at dawn, at dusk this meant there weren’t the stronger colours of the western sky, but this was perfect, and with my assistant keeping hold of a Profoto light in the gale force winds we got some stunning images as darkness fell…
